Approved Pre-University Programs

SECONDARY

The Secondary Program of Open School Boards in India offers a flexible and recognized education for students, enabling them to complete their Class 10 studies conveniently and pursue higher education or career opportunities.

SENIOR SECONDARY

The Senior Secondary Program of Open School Boards in India provides students with a flexible pathway to complete Class 12, enhancing their academic qualifications and career prospects effectively.

VOCATIONAL

The Vocational Programs of Open School Boards in India equip students with industry-relevant skills, offering flexible learning opportunities to enhance employability and career growth in various fields.

Secondary Program

The Secondary Program is equivalent to the 10th standard. To enroll in the Secondary Program, students must be at least 15 years old before the exam. There are no restrictions on subject selection, except that at least one language is mandatory. Learners can choose subjects from the subject list provided below.

Learners must select five subjects, including at least one and up to two languages from Group A, while the remaining subjects should be chosen from Group B. For an additional fee, students can opt for up to two extra subjects from either group

Subjects marked with an asterisk (*) include both theory and practical components.

Sr. Secondary Program

The Senior Secondary Program is equivalent to the 12th standard. Students who have successfully completed Secondary education are eligible to enroll in this program. Applicants must submit a self-attested copy of their Secondary Certificate for admission. There are no restrictions on subject choices and combinations, except that at least one language must be selected.

Learners must select minimum six subjects, including at least one and up to two languages from Group A, while the remaining subjects should be chosen from Group B. To pass the Senior Secondary (Class 12) exam, you need to pass in at least five subjects out of the 6 subjects you may have taken, securing a minimum of 33% marks in the aggregate of five subjects, including at least one language, and also 33% separately in theory and practical for subjects with practical components. For an additional fee, students can opt for up to two extra subjects from either groupSubjects marked with an asterisk (*) include both theory and practical components.

Skill & Vocational Program

Skill and Vocational Education plays a crucial role in all educational initiatives, with the National Education Policy 2020 emphasizing its importance in empowering youth to achieve economic independence and earn a respectable livelihood.

These boards are recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), granting their certificates equivalency with those of other national and state education boards, ensuring eligibility for further studies in universities across India and abroad. Additionally, the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) acknowledges these boards, confirming their validity in the academic system. The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has officially listed them among approved school education boards. Moreover, many state and central government bodies, as well as private employers, recognize the certificates issued by these boards for employment purposes. Valid Identity Proof: Aadhaar Card, Passport, Ration Card, or PAN Card.

Proof of Date of Birth: Passport, School Leaving Certificate, Transfer Certificate, or Aadhaar Card (if DOB is mentioned).

Valid Proof of Residence is required.

Domicile Certificate: Self-attested copy required for all candidates.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 15 years old before exams for the Secondary Program.

Academic Requirement: Secondary / Class X Certificate (for Senior Secondary Program admission).

Caste Certificate: Self-attested copy required for SC / ST / OBC applicants.

Disability Certificate: Required for learners with disabilities.
